Framing should complement the work, not compete with it.

I offer two approaches to framing, individually designed bespoke framing and a new streamlined collection for more straightforward framing projects.

Bespoke

Individually designed and made

My bespoke framing service gives us the freedom to design around the individual piece, with a wide range of framing and mounting options for works on paper, photographs, canvases and objects.

Frames can be selected from a range of hardwoods that are then hand finished to highlight the woods character, using stains, waxes, French polish or hand painting and gilding. Creative mounting techniques and use of mounts gives for a huge scope of design options.

For valuable, sentimental or historically important works, I work to Fine Art Trade Guild framing standards, using conservation / museum grade materials and techniques where appropriate.

Each project begins with and estimate, followed by a studio consultation where we can look at the work and develop the final design together.

Essentail

Simple framing. Properly made

Essential uses a carefully selected range of pre-finished timber mouldings rather than the premium timbers and hand finishing available through my bespoke service. Combined with standard sizes and a limited range of mounting options, this allows me to offer a more accessible price while still producing a well designed, professionally made frame.

You will choose your frame, mounting and glazing from a curated range of options and see the price as you go, all online, without the need for a studio design consultation.

Every frame will still be made by me in my studio.

Launching end of September 2026.
